A mixed bag for me.
Some good performances and cinematography (there’s a shot near the end that is particularly beautiful), but told with such predictability and contrivance. I mean, it’s good we know the ‘twist’ about halfway through and that’s not a bad thing at all but I would have liked to have seen a less clumsy way of seeing it.
Paul Schneider is embarrassing and really doesn’t fit the character. An okay effort from a first time director though, just wish he’d been a bit stronger with his vision of the film.
