This film, which revolves around a group of wealthy guests who are unable to leave a room after a dinner party for an unexplained reason, can mean something different to every person.. For example, to me, the guests’ inability to leave the room the same way they entered it was similar to people getting involved in politics and dirty dealings and then never being able to get out.. As time passes, the politeness, respect, and civility between them disappear once basic needs come into play, and eventually it progresses to the point where they consider killing someone just to escape the situation, which says a lot about human nature and also emphasizes how meaningless “privileges” really are.. So yes, the film is worth watching, it’s good and thought-provoking…but it had the potential to be even better, especially with such an original premise as “being unable to leave a room”.. I was hoping the conversations between the characters would be deeper as well, so that i could witness intellectual or otherwise meaningful discussions, especially considering there was a doctor and people of various social statuses present.. Throughout the film, it felt like it had the potential to be far more engaging through its dialogue, and honestly, if Hitchcock had directed this, it could have been something legendary, like a mixture of Rope and Rear Window

Örneğin, bana göre davetlilerin o odaya girdikleri gibi ayrılamamaları, siyasete ve pis işlere bulaşan insanların bir daha çıkamamasına benzerdi.. Zamanla aradaki nezaketin, saygının, medeniyetin temel ihtiyaçlar ortaya çıkınca ortadan kalkması ve en sonunda sırf bu durumdan çıkmak için birini öldürmeyi düşünecek kadar ilerlemesi burada insan doğasını gösteriyor ve ayrıca "ayrıcalıkların" ne kadar anlamsız olduğunu vurguluyor.. Yani film izlenir, güzel, derin...ama bu filmin daha iyi olma potansiyeli vardı, özellikle "bir odadan çıkamama"nın özgün fikriyle çok daha iyi işlenebilirdi.. Mesela ummuştum ki aradaki diyaloglar da derin olsun ki entellektüel veya başka türlü bir sohbete şahit olayım sonuçta doktor da vardı başka statüler de vardı, film boyunca sohbetlerle olayların daha çekici olabilecek potansiyelde bir filmdi hatta bu filmi Hitchcock yönetse efsanevi bir şey olurdu Rope ve Rear Window karışımı bir şey olabilirdi
