Definitely the turning point in Lang's career, and it shows with its tremendous visuals. The story itself is a bit less interesting. I'm much more a fan of the frame story as opposed to the anthology vignettes, which I really have no interest in. The exoticism of those segments are a real turn-off for me, there's only so much Germans in vague attempts at brown/yellow face that I can put up with. I guess the frame story with Death as a character just reminds me of The Phantom Carriage, which may be due for a rewatch all things considered...
