FAVOURITE MOVIES LIST* * This, right here, is why i love Letterboxd. This film was recommended by a fellow Letterboxd user, and boy has his recommendations been on point. I love it when filmmakers decide to tell a simple story which they are fascinated by, and are able to evoke a similar feeling of fascination for Vanishing Grace in the viewers and make them feel empathy for the characters. These kind of films always end up being treasured by me, and i hope to keep discovering them, like A Time for Drunken Horses, through this wonderful community. * *I’ll never forget the voice of little kids singing in the back of a truck, the sound of their voice, the only moment of carelessness in this film, i will not forget. I will not forget how Madi seems to understand the death of his father but it appears that he’s confused when it comes to emotions he has to show or how he’s supposed to react to certain situations. It hurts, it hurts real bad. This is not a tragedy nor is it an uplifting story, its life, and it hurts that life can be so unforgiving. * *I hope Madi knows how much his brothers and sisters love him and i hope Bahman Ghobadi knows how much his film means to people.
