A giant asteroid is heading toward Earth so some astronauts disembark from a nearby space station to blow it up. The mission is successful, and they return to the station unknowingly bringing back a gooey green substance that mutates into one-eyed tentacled monsters that feed off electricity. Soon the station is crawling with them, and people are being zapped left and right!

Kann man als trashiges Mischmasch von THE THING (Carpenter), ALIEN, GREMLINS und ARMAGEDDON sehen.

Oder sich fragen, ob ein Film, der Motive für viele spätere bedeutende Werke lieferte, nicht viel mehr in der Filmgeschichte Beachtung finden müsste und nicht nur als "Ha ha, Gummimonster" (deren Design ein kleiner Schwachpunkt ist, aber dank der Inszenierung dann durchaus bedrohliche Momente spendiert bekommt) verlacht werden sollte?

The theme song is unironically good; the rest of it is quite amusingly bad. What is the green slime, you ask? Having now seen the film, I still cannot say. The SFX team doesn't seem to know either. It's still a pretty good time. [Insert entertainingly awkward thumbs up here.]
