OH I LOVED THIS. This was so much fun to watch I love a good camp slasher movie! The casting, the soundtrack, the coloring, everything about this movie was perfect. I chose this because I saw Nina Dobrev was in it and she did not disappoint! I need more movies like this with this type of vibe. Oh and the bloopers at the end were so funny I love when movies add them.

the final girls walked so meta horror could run

Couldn’t stop thinking of Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma ever since I saw the trailer yesterday. I’m so hungry for that film and needed to watch some meta slashers. I decided to watch The Final Girls because it’s the only film that matches the vibe of TSADACM’s trailer closest.

I have nothing new to say in regards to this film outside of what I said in my last review. But what I will say is that I’ve never been able to really put into words why the slasher is my favourite subgenre of horror, but this film really helped me understand why a bit, and hopefully in August TSADACM will help me understand completely.
