Did a Cronenberg double feature, I watched the brood before this

The brood is definitely better, I’d say this is one of Cronenberg's less good films but it’s still worth a watch

unfortunately quite mid and also i was really sleepy the whole time. it's very interesting to see some of his favorite themes before they actually became fleshed (geddit) out, but overall the movie is a pretty basic zombie invasion flick with some nice cheating metaphors. robert a silverman cameo who else cheered... imagine being in a hospital lobby and a nurse comes in screaming "HE'S KILLING EVERYONE" like what do i even do then. just accept it at that point. also climactic final scene hinges on a man going to get his mail in the midst of martial law in montreal
