A 70s Italian serial killer whodunit, and yet it feels almost anti-giallo. It feels more realistic, pessimistic, tragic. A lot of it takes place in broad daylight, bringing all the nastiness into the open.
It has one too many shameless (and unnecessary) red herrings, but it's still an intriguing and different film from when the genre was starting to be dominated by black gloves and Goblin.
