watched this instead of finishing my case study assignment on the deepwater horizon disaster. as you can see i am clearly very productive.
there are (based on my knowledge from the research ive done thus far) some inaccuracies within the details of why the explosion happened. for the most part however, im fairly sure the majority of the film is accurate as the director, Peter Berg, worked with Mike Williams who was one of the survivors and the main character of this movie (played by Wahlberg)
on another note one of the aspects i really liked about this movie is that during and after the explosion occurs, there are some moments where its so hard to follow whats happening. normally i hate when movies are hard to keep up with but because this is a disaster movie based on a real event, i really think this helps you understand how hard it is to navigate a situation in the face of panic
anyways back to work i go!
