While the narrative of the plots and sub-plots alike are tedious and insignificant, it’s still an interesting film. It offers a great parallel to both the past and future in terms of filmmaking as it’s such a clear cut reference.
It’s fascinating to see how far filmmaking had at this point moved from something like Méliès’ Le Voyage dans la Luna, and equally how it has changed up until today. As well as in terms of how our world view has developed.
