In defending his refusal to be conscripted into the Vietnam War, champion boxer Muhammed Ali defiantly declared: ‘No Vietcong ever called me a nigger, my enemies are white people, not the Vietcong.’ His rebuttal suggested the title of this documentary, which depicts an anti-Vietnam-War rally in New York in 1967.

No Vietnamese Ever Called Me Nigger
Such a powerful documentary.
It's amazing how clips of a black and white person respectively will mirror one another, and build on one another's arguments. The editing is truly amazing in that regard and how it sequences the clips, like when the white kid is talking about black people going to africa and "yellow" people staying to asia, then it cuts to an unrelated clip of Akmed Lorence, the black veteran, saying "I am disgusted". What really lands the blow is his saying it while the footage of the white kid is still there.

The white woman interviewer on the street kinda sucks, like when she asks if blacks should use self defense, but her bad interviewing illicitted greater reactions from the interviewees.

Overall, this is a very powerful documentary that is a must watch.
