Jigsaw is a decent attempt to bring the franchise back after a long break but it ends up feeling pretty average The movie looks way cleaner and more modern than the gritty original films which actually takes away a bit of that raw creepy atmosphere the series is known for The barn traps are pretty fun and creative especially the grain silo sequence and it is always great to see Tobin Bell show up as John Kramer even if his appearance complicates the timeline even more The major issue is that the final twist feels like a total rehash of older twists we have already seen before and it relies on some really goofy logic to make everything fit It is a perfectly fine popcorn thriller if you miss the franchise but it does not bring anything truly new to the table.

this one is such a snoozefest & the traps are so boring. The first trap is giving All Hail Plankton with those Chum Bucket ahh helmets 🪣
only thing i love from this one is that we get to see our lovely John but that’s all. It’s just so boring :( i also won’t be watching Spiral (2021) bc that is even worse 🩸🧩
