On the exact flip side of Tobe’s episode, this was what made me realize I needed to not listen to Ain’t It Cool film dorks about post-80s Argento.
I did not notice the first time that Steven Weber wrote this. If I ever ran into him I’d definitely nerd out about this even though I was a weird child who watched Wings reruns.
Bowl of bagels at the dinner table.
Maybe this and Cigarette Burns are the best of the series (definitely like a few of the Fear Itself episodes, too) and I think it’s worth noting this is both a real good horror story and it’s directed very well within the confines of the show. It feels like an especially gnarly Tales From The Crypt. Deliciously perverse and mean. Also, Jennifer is fucking scary.
