An odd film for Lang, a period drama/adventure swashbuckler with an adoptive father/son element, in CINEMASCOPE. The production design along with the cinemascope cinematography is quite gorgeous to look at, and Lang creates quite a bit of atmosphere along with it. I really liked Stewart Granger as the lead, he has a fantastic face for a cool and reserved rogue.
