I ended up watching this in an underground legal website after opening endless illicit ones LOL. I really like the overall ambience of the movie. It's like when you turn the AC off after having it on for an extended period of time and you decide to open the window then you have this whiff of fresh air hitting your face. Personally, I think this is the opposite of film I recently watched: EEAAO. Literally everything about it.
At first I thought it was like watching one of Emma Chamberlain's YouTube vlogs back in, I guess, 2022 without the narrative and if she had a small cast of people. I commend how it was showcasted, it felt like I was watching it in real time instead of having this feeling of flipping pages of a comic book with every scene dedicated for each specific niche reason (which is not bad, by the way).
I was a bit confused at the forty-minute mark when Oakley's father called him 'Thomas', which was the actor's real name. There was also another scene where Anna called him 'Tom'.
Speaking of which, I'm glad she did not end up with him at all. Though I could feel the tension, they just were not compatible. She was still married. Having troubles with your partner does not justify you to seek what lacks in your marriage from someone as young as your friend's son. The movie showed that well too by the way he behaved recklessly and had a lot of fun with the other youths throughout their holiday.
But despite that, I understand Anna's pain and I'm glad she decided to probably work it out with Alex in the end. She probably wanted a break and got too ahead of herself. I think the teens cut her off from their circle when they seem to realize that Anna is still technically an adult by snitching on them, by doing the right thing to hold accountability.
This film is great if you need to take a break from dramatic plot-heavy movies.
