Very atmospheric. Louis Hayward gives a great performance. The plot gets a little slow at times and lacks suspense. It's still worth watching but one of the not as good Fritz Lang films.

the main character irritates me so so much. i don’t care how symbolic the river is. maybe i'm the problem here. for me it was more like a nice cinematography film than life changing noir that's all
