We Are Your Friends isn’t really about becoming famous, it’s about being young and wanting your life to mean something before time moves too fast.
maybe most dreams don’t work out the way we imagine them to, maybe people grow apart and life keeps moving before we’re ready, but for a few hours this movie makes you believe there’s still beauty in trying anyway. sometimes all you really have are the people beside you and the songs that remind you who you used to be.
the music, the lights, the empty hollywood optimism, it all feels nostalgic for something i never even lived through.
