It doesn't give me the same gut wrenching and tear jerking reaction that the first movie 'Terms Of Endearment' gave me but I think it does a good job developing Aurora and furthering that character that was played so well in the first.

watched this right after Terms of Endearment and i can’t possibly overstate how amazed i was that shirley maclaine could so perfectly and effortlessly step back into aurora so many years later. this wasn’t as bad as i had assumed from the 2.9 rating but pretty pointless. to be honest i didn’t love some of the characters, new and old, but also don’t really feel like i just wasted 2 hours, if only for shirley’s performance.
