Sandra Carpenter is a London-based dancer who is distraught to learn that her friend has disappeared. Soon after the disappearance, she's approached by Harley Temple, a police investigator who believes her friend has been murdered by a serial killer who uses personal ads to find his victims. Temple hatches a plan to catch the killer using Sandra as bait, and Sandra agrees to help.

Okay so I totally tried to review this before I went to go see Gone Girl. But I legitimately finished this movie and then left my house, but anyways here’s my review. This film was actually kind of bad ass. Lucille Ball plays a dancer turned detective to try and solve the case of a man on a murder spree, who is targeting woman through advertisements (said in an old timey voice) in the paper. As well as she is helping because this man has taken one of her friends. May I just say that Lucille delivers a performance I truly never expected to see from her. I grew up watching I Love Lucy (which is fantastic) so I never thought I’d see the red haired dame with a gun in her hands. Oh and also she runs into Boris Karloff (Frankenstein aka my husband) in this movie, so that was cool too. But my absolute favorite part of this movie was the COSTUMES!!! I mean my god the fashion was impeccable and her engagement dress was actually to die for. Anyways a fun little detective flick starring the bad ass Lucille Ball, what more could you ask for?
