This truly was a gift that kept on giving. At first I kind of thought this would just be another standard horror movie from the 30s, something that's solid but not too great, but this film was getting better by the second. It had some really great acting and even better makeup effects on said actors. I was legitimately impressed with how well all the prosthetics looked as everyone looked incredible. Also, I was genuinely surprised with how well shot it was. There are not that many films like it during its time where it was doing stuff as extravagant as it was. I really think my only complaint was that I wish it would have been longer.
Rating: mid 8/10
Ranking: #497/2,058
496 - Black Sunday (1977)
497 - Island of Lost Souls (1932)
498 - Pig (2021)
