this was so zany!
considering i watched this for sharon tate alone, imagine my shock when the entire movie was stolen by claudia cardinale. she was dizzying and frustrating but lovable, to me. the outfit envy i had watching this ridiculous movie (with elvis-tier level stunts, ensuing events, and objectification of women) was unreal.
sharon tate was a bronze beach beauty and absolutely gorgeous but was so obviously used as mere eye candy that it made me uncomfortable (and i'm very comfortable looking at beautiful women for long periods of time - you should see my pinterest)! there was a trampoline scene that made me feel downright vouyeristic. of course, said scene was used to characterize carlo cofield... but it had to be a POV shot?! don't bring me into this.
wacky from beginning to end, but i was never bored. cute theme song too.
