This movie does a really good job of making you guess where it will go I thought the movie was going to be in the opposite way of our protagnist framing jefty at first, but no jefty becomes insane after he finds out lily won't marry him and becomes something akin to Max Cady in Cape Fear by hunting them down and since the law is on his side he can do anything he wants.
