Well it's a pretty big step down from its three predecessors. It feels a lot cheaper, a lot more soundstagy. It's not terrible at all, nor even completely unoriginal for that matter, just more like a quick fix that does its job, and not much more.
It's a bit of a shame, because the first trilogy of Frankenstein films is absolutely the crown jewel of the Universal Monster series. This feels like someone at Universal suddenly decided to drastically slice through the budget
