I’m watching this thinking about my sister, who’s also autistic and has a strong special interest. Her special interest is pandas! They’ve been her interest for at least 17 years. I love how our interests are complete opposites and both have lasted longer than ten years. You should give her a follow! She’s not a film buff like I am, but give her some love anyway!
I love that this film was shot in China. The cinematography was beautiful! The panda cub was adorable and was the second best part about this film. Seeing a young Stephen Lang was nice, too. Other than that, it’s a bad film. You can easily tell when they use fake pandas. Ryan is such a laughably bad character. The boy who played him was pretty bad, too. His performance was one of the most unintentionally hilarious kid performances I’ve ever seen.

I haven’t seen this in 25 years but this is the first movie I remember seeing and telling my mother that I didn’t like it.
