“If I didn’t have movies, life would be pretty boring and there wouldn’t be any point to go on”
What an interesting documentary, I went into this completely blind, like my friend sent this to me and said “watch this” and gave me zero context as to what it’s about. I came out of it concerned about the underlying story (this is high key abuse and I am appalled at how they didn’t do anything about it). I also related to these kids so heavily. Art is for us to see ourselves in something, for me movies do that. The first time I understood a character was through a movie, and for these kids…that’s the only way they understand the human race. They've never been outside and if they have they aren’t even allowed to make eye contact with people. Movies are what bring us together even if we’ve never been anywhere and that’s what this documentary is about, how beautiful! Very well done, very interesting. Good watch!
