A quirky New York indie about 3 friends trying to start a family, that swiftly pivot into a brutal metaphor on gentrification. Having started my Sebastian Silva journey with ROTTING UNDER THE SUN, I am fully convinced he is master satirist that glorifies his chaos protaganists. There’s really a sense of delight when a film tonally shifts successfully.

Film #2 of the December Scavenger Hunt #9
2: A film featuring a former or current Saturday Night Live cast member (pick your favourite if you like)
I love K Wiig so much, like obvi I had to watch another one of the films she's in. All I can say is that Nasty Baby was a wild ride. The first two parts of the movie were sweet and funny. The last part was so fucking wild like holy fucking shit. I think I liked it? But, K Wiig is totally bringing it this year: Nasty Baby, Diary of a Teenage Girl, a couple eps of Wet Hot American Summer, The Martian (still need to see), The Spoils of Dying, A Deadly Adoption. Like this bitch is getting those coins. But, Nasty Baby is not for everyone. I would recommend it tho.
