❝No one has done more to make me smile than he has. And no one ever could.❞

This was pretty good. It doesn't have any of the clichés one might expect from a film featuring teenagers and terminal illness. The script had its moments of wittiness, and I really liked the excerpts of the parodies Greg and Earl made. The performances from the cast were great, especially that of Olivia Cooke. However, it felt like something was missing; even though I shed a few tears during the hospital scene, it wasn't as impactful as it could've been. I haven't read the book so I probably don't know most of the nuances behind certain scenes as a lot of novel-to-film adaptations skip out on a lot tiny details that enhance the writing; I think it's still worth giving this film a watch though.
