i see myself in every chloé zhao's film i have watched. it summons an emotional being.

as an eldest daughter, i have dreamt of leaving home, living life all by myself, having a space full of love, peace, and calmness. a life that is slow but also steady.

then again, i am always reminded of how much i love my siblings, that i wouldn't want that kind of life without them in it, that i don't want them to experience the same experiences i have endured.

just like jashaun, my siblings got a thing about our place, they sees things i don't, and they're good.

Not usually a fan of documentary style filmmaking but this is about as good as that genre gets. Theres a lot of powerful silence in this movie, especially the final scene.

C’est très lent et c’est okay 
J’ai du mal à me positionner parce que c’est à la fois très beau et très tendre, et en même temps ça pue le poverty porn/miserabilisme et l’exotisation
À noter que Chloé c’est quand même la fille d’un patron de l’industrie de l’acier et que ça teinte un peu sa vision
Je pense que je ne suis pas assez informé sur la question des réserves aux US pour avoir un avis pertinent
Overall les images sont folles, mais la mise en scène et les dialogues souffrent un peu de la dimension ethnologique qu’elle a voulu donner à mon avis
