I just find it kind of funny that the flashback scene is in present time in 1942 and the past is 1870s. James Cagney is kind of growing on me. Never disliked him but I didn’t really know who he was until recently. I think they might’ve actually gotten Teddy Roosevelt for this lol. Maybe the most American and patriotic movie. George Washington Junior plays a big part . Like the jeepers creepers song is supposed to be a modern song that the young people love. lmao. So it’s not weird for me wanting to tap dance, right? Idk still seems a bit weird. I saw a clip of the stair scene online and that’s what convinced you to watch the movie and still even better while watching. I think an Oscar is deserved. Funny enough biopics are still getting majority of awards.
