such a heartwarming, moving, and sentimental movie Midnight Diner is. the place remind me of MacLaren's Pub in How I Met Your Mother where all the characters always hang out there and all things happened in their life is somehow always related to the bar.
a slice-of-life drama which consist of 3 stories that portrayed adulthood and all of its problems but not in an overwhelming way, but the exact opposite. watching this, feels like a dinner with your loved ones, with a warm curry rice, with a hot green tea, and a light conversation about each other while it was raining outside.
will definitely check Midnight Diner 2 next.

So heartwarming! It’s about this tiny diner that opens from midnight to morning, and every episode revolves around a different dish and the story of someone’s life tied to it. Like, imagine someone always ordering chicken fried rice because it reminds them of their mom who used to make it for them. The stories are so simple yet so touching, and the food feels like a hug in every episode. If I had a diner like this near me, I’d probably go there every night just to listen to all the stories (and eat, obviously).
