We Still Kill the Old Way
I came across the film 'We Still Steal the Old Way' and thought, 'hey, I haven't watched a heist film for a while, let's watch that' only to find, 10 seconds later, that that film was the sequel to this one, so….

'We Still Kill the Old Way' is about a group of geriatric, retired criminals from the rough and tumble streets of London's East End who are recalled into action when the brother of one is killed by a youth gang. The old guys hunt the young guys down to exact their revenge and, as a byproduct, the streets are made safer for one and all, who subsequently celebrate the return of the old guard, the end – but you knew that already, didn't you? There is really nothing surprising about this film and whatever pleasures it may have must, therefore, be generated by the manner in which this outcome is achieved.

Unfortunately, what we get here is some terrible acting – mainly from the youth gang who are all of the 'Well 'ard, innit bruv' school of 'I'm a Cockney,' Dick van Dyke-type acting (they appear to actually be British, but absolutely not from the streets); the older guys are fare significantly better, mostly favoring the quiet & slow approach to menace) – and due, I suspect to a limited budget, very few locations, set design, or background actors which make it all feel very, very small and low stakes.

Head old guy Ian Ogilvy is probably the best thing here so I guess it depends on how much of a 'Return of the Saint' or 'Generations' fan you are.
