Seoul Searching is a movie set in the 80s. And if you forget that ,don't worry the movie will make sure you know by playing like 20 different songs from the 80s in the first 30 minutes.

Now the movie is obviously inspired by many classic 80d movies about teens. So it doesn't really have a single original idea, but at least it tries.

The movie is a fun ride, but the thing is,it's not a very good movie. The editing is bad and the acting isn't all that great. It at times very unclear and has some big dramatic moments that it totally doesn't earn. On the other side it has some over the top silly moments it dosent earn either. I think it could've been a pretty solid movie, but they just made the wrong decision in so many places.

Many of the jokes don't land, the characters are annoying and some very stereotypical. I just couldn't get onboard with many of the decisions made in this.

But despite all of its many flaws, it's still s good time. The ending is satisfying there is good music. And even though many moments shouldnt have been in the movie, they are still fun to watch.

I could actually see myself revisiting it when I need to good time. But probably only the first 30 minutes or so. Not because the movies gets worse, just because it doesn't really get any better

the entire first half of the movie is honestly so bad like every scene feels like a fever dream but the second half redeemed itself to me like Dang thanks for putting off what i actually wanted to watch for a whole hour.also i just knew from the start that klaus was singlehandedly gonna save the entire film 🥵 like the scene where he switches from german to korean to talk to his parents when he had previously said he didn’t talk to his parents in korean because he wanted their german to improve and it all stemmed from his need for approval from his peers as being a successful german and not the weird foreigner 🥵🥵 also chad teacher is played by cha inpyo thanks
