“That woman looks a lot like your mother.”
Osamu Dezaki marks the debut of the Lupin TV Specials by ensuring that no one else could make one that looks this good. But as much as it has the Dezaki sauce for aesthetic and animation, the story is wild as hell both in a good way (stealing the Statue of Liberty) and the bad ways (whatever is going on with knock off Palpatine and his goons). It’s a fun ride but sometimes a little more obtuse than it is entertaining.
