It's great to see woman getting into mad science. It's a lost art everyone should be able do. Who says only the guys can think of monstrosities. Lady Frankenstein follows the daughter of Baron Frankenstein after he is killed by the monster. She continues his work while the monster goes on a rampage and a detective is investigating the family. The story is classic hammer with some Italian flair thrown in. It's biggest hindrance just that the first half is a retelling of so many Frankenstein stories. It gets much more interesting in the second half as we see Tania Frankenstein as she continues her father's work while showing her twisted and slightly preveted side. The detective was cool too and I liked the investigation element especially after a certain character dies. The creature isn't the best interpretation for me but because he had little personality but his rampage was entertaining. The ending is pretty fiery too. The cast are the real highlight especially Rosalba Neri as Tania Frankenstein. She was engaging and sexy as the villianess. She was the best part and every scene with her was great. The other cast were good. Renate Kasche has a small but memorable part. The detective was also pretty cool and his interactions with Tania were entertaining. The movie looked great. I loved the look of the castle. The costumes were good too. The lab is important in every Frankenstein movie and I liked the look here. It was simplistic but worked. The monsters look wasn't to different but the look was memorable. Lady Frankenstein won't be the best Frankenstein story but it has that hammer charm with an Italian flair. Rosalba was the best part and makes the movie worth watching alone. The monster has a unique look and it's rampage was cool too. I quite liked Lady Frankenstein and had a good time with it.

Watched this around 10 in the morning and just forgot about it. Really unoriginal. Everything in this movie, we've already seen in the 1930s and 1950s.

hooptober 11: #19not enough lady frankenstein for a movie called lady frankenstein. like what does she do before the last 20 minutes of the movie. and i know it’s the 70s but does every woman have to be naked at some point

Hooptober XI - #19/31
As a big fan of the original movie this was fun! Nowhere near as good but still has that classic horror feel to it. Primarily focused around the daughter dealing with the death of her father. And the escape of her fathers monster. Leading her to create her own monstrous creation
