this movie should’ve totally never happened. on its own, a film about a woman killing her cheating husband and then fleeing off to Hollywood would have been great and totally camp. The civil rights movement in Alabama kind of sort of had nothing to do with that plot whatsoever and felt totally out of place. It also felt dismissed at the end with the filling of the pool, and not a happy ending of splashing around and playing together. I get that they were trying to do a realistic ending, but also a talking head isn’t that real realistic either. Honestly, I’m glad Antonio never decided to direct again or maybe he wasn’t allowed to either way it was for the best. I would hate to watch a repeat of this movie. Such a shame that a good plot line and cast went to waste, loved that judge though.

I loved Melanie Griffiths character and Meatloaf was almost unrecognizable he acted so well! CAMP but also with heart.
