Very beautiful looking movie. I really like how they shot the landscapes and nature. The narrative was pretty simple but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it.

Malick's first film and one of his best. At this point he still did not have his very characteristic style but if you could see tints of it, for example the way he portrays nature is one of my favorite things about his style and also in this film you can see that a lot, also that VoiceOver that appears in many of his films also comes out here and is an essential part of the film. Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek are incredible, the chemistry between the two of them is something very natural and it is the best. The cinematography is simply wonderful and captures the beauty of the United States in a unique and original way.
