for the majority of this movie, you’re grounded in the emotional portrayal of three vulnerable characters that feel less like fictional people and more like a representation of a widespread experience. the film uses the audiences connection to them, that it’s built up over its runtime, to then showcase an emotionally resonant action sequence and give us a heartwarming ending that felt so deserved. this went somewhere i didn’t expect it to seemingly out of left field but it worked perfectly for me
