I guess this technically being a prequel explains why Peter Cushing wasn’t cast, I thought a Cushing-less Hammer Frankenstein film would be terrible, but it was competent, nothing more, nothing less

Unfortunately I don’t think Hammer Horror’s Frankenstein series has as much gas in the tank as their Dracula flicks. I liked the campiness and the gore but this one was definitely a step down. I did miss Peter Cushing even tho he’s in almost every single one of these. He does have some magic sauce to his performance as the doctor. The monster was cool but mostly this got a meh from me.
