hi here is a rant about ginger rogers because she’s one of my favorite actresses of all time :)
ginger rogers my baby. i literally love her so freaking much. like i genuinely can’t even explain. she means so much to me. after reading her book i understand her so much. she is so kind, beautiful, smart, loyal, creative, an amazing dancer, a literal inspiration. the world misses you virginia katherine mcmath. (i will be naming one of my children virginia.) i’m so sad our time on earth never crossed. i only missed her by 11 years. i love watching her dance and i wish she was able to sing more. her voice is so soothing to me. her eyes are so pretty. and i love how her hair is so shiny and beautiful. her personality is so addicting. i want to be her best friend so bad. i feel like we would be best friends. i love the story of how she became famous. how she came from nothing. it was just her and her mom. one day she entered a dancing contest and won and all of a sudden she had a contract with RKO. i just wish RKO and other studios gave her more intense roles. like her role in kitty foyle she absolutely ate that up. fr one of my favorite of her performances of all time. she made me cry.
okay now time for my actual review of the movie lmao.
this was an okay movie. honestly kinda the same as all other ginger and fred movies. it was cute tho. i loved seeing ginger with that cute little dog. i loved the scene on the boat with the dogs, especially when fred took all those dogs lmao.
all those guys are so real for pursuing ginger like that. i too would cross the ocean to try to get her. it was iconic of her when she pushed that guy in the water. i love how sassy and girl boss she is.
the jokes weren’t really funny at all. the supporting characters were mid tbh. this was probably my least favorite astaire and rogers movie ive seen so far.

I don't know if it's Stockholm Syndrome and I'm just falling more in love with these Astaire & Rogers movies with each one I watch, or I just actually was decently invested in the plot this time. Edward Everett Horton as the bumbling manager was by far my favorite part, he's hilarious.
