It didn't felt like a Christmas special to me, I didn't felt the hope I felt with all the other special, but Eleventh is here so it's good, he's very precious to me, he's innocent and childish... So full of life, I love him.

RIP Michael Pickwood. Probably the best production designer Doctor Who ever had. 

The (supposedly) Worst Doctor Who Christmas Special shot 2 months before it was broadcast has no right to look this good. It’s so vibrant. In the costumes, in the sets, in the lighting. 

Shame about the story. The gender essential would make “The Star Beast” blush. The last 10 minutes are brillant though. The last 10 minutes of every Moffat special is always brilliant. 

Caroline Skinner being in this really means they should have just made this a full on Outnumbered crossover special. But it isn’t.
