Uganda’s First action movie
Nabwana IGG never imagined anyone outside his own village would see this film, now some kid in miami florida is watching it.
This movie really does capture ugandan culture in a beautiful way, and believe it or not it actually has messages on women’s rights, it shows the mistreatment of women and condemns it.
Honestly the effects and editing, while still comical they’re not even that bad. This movie definitely didn’t even have a budget (literally $85), but man it was still really well made. The props used also made me laughed, in a good way.
The score is awesome, the tracks used are bangers and the original music fits the scenes so well. I mean bro a flute cover of Seal’s Kiss from a Rose gives this movie a five instantly.
I love how the movie is interrupted so many times so that the narrator tells us that we are currently watching the first action movie in Uganda. Honestly I find it endearing that the narrator does talk to the viewer as if we were just having a regular conversation, like he was watching the movie with us, not only that but his comments are hilarious. Fricking VJ Emmie man.
That title drop was actually brilliant, dude looked at the camera twice. The acting in this movie is actually pretty solid, the entire cast was inexperienced and they still delivered good performances, plus the choreography of the fights was good and well performed.
Jokes aside I can see the care that was put into this movie, it didn’t have a good budget but Nabwana still made it work, I think that’s really sweet. This is definitely a movie that should be celebrated for a long time.
The practical effects are decent, the fake blood is believable.
The final battle was emotional and action packed
This entire movie did leave me with one huge question though, Who killed captain Alex?
I would do a lot to watch the original cut of this film.
Was this the best movie released in 2010? Maybe.
