I really enjoyed this film a lot. It was very energizing and opened me up to a whole different side of berlin in the 80s which I have very little previous knowledge of. The energy was infectious, the music was exceptional and I enjoyed the deep dive into counterculture, subculture, and then underground berlin. Seeing the transition from punk music to the rise of techno and the impacts historically really captivated me. My only criticism were the punk’s usage of nazi uniforms and the swstk*s as a rebellious item against older generations and mainstream media. I do not think this is an item/period for germans and europeans to reclaim, and as such it’s weird. However, the rest of the film was really interesting and infectious.
