A really great and beautiful film about the life and career of the legendary serge gainsbourg from his childhood as a jew in naczi occupied France to his success and his many controversies and his affairs with women mainly brigitte bardot and jane birkin it's really a masterful and beautiful film with a lot of great visuals and the performance by Éric Elmosnino as serge he really captures his look and sense of being cool with his beautiful style which he is one of my icons up there with anthony bourdain and alain delon this film just makes me want to smoke a pack of cigarettes and listen to his songs until I fall asleep anyway just a masterful film if you are a fan of gainsbourg you would really love this film May you rest in peace legend Lucien Ginsburg 1928-1991

"Laetitia Casta was given a dance teacher in preparation for her sexy dance to [Brigitte] Bardot's song 'Comic Strip'. She described the teacher as 'boring' and told director Joann Sfar she 'needed no help giving the audience a hard-on'."
