Ghosts of Mississippi
I can’t believe that James Woods just kept showing up to set and the just kept all of it in the movie.

Ghosts of Mississippi
Ghost of Mississippi  is a powerful courtroom drama that delves into racial inequality in the Deep South and the struggle that one woman and her family face in seeking justice for their slain husband and father.

The performances in this film are outstanding, particularly from Whoopi Goldberg in the third act during one especially poignant moment. Alec Baldwin also delivers a fantastic performance as a district attorney caught between two worlds, striving to do the right thing in the eyes of the law while trying to keep his family safe.

It’s a shame that this film didn’t receive much recognition from the Oscars the year it was released, but it is deeply impactful and extremely well directed by the late Rob Reiner. If you love courtroom dramas, this one comes highly recommended from me.
