Poe, it turns out, was an archetypal American: a catty, drunken asshole who met a moment with the full force of his talent and then made everyone around him miserable and died. Anyways, what if we tortured him in his own fictions Grand Guignol style?
Is every iteration/adaptation of this good? Possibly. Will investigate.
