Goes respectably hard and continues Gordon’s wide berth of the source material for the better. I kind of think there isn’t really much to do with Lovecraft outside of the Gordon/O’Bannon vein so something like this is always going to work more than a staid adaptation.

My second venture into Masters of Horror and this is a Stuart Gordon Lovecraftian nightmare and it's so much fun. A claustrophobic apartment complex is infested with human-faced rats, the landlord is a scumbag, a mom is fearful of her child's safety, and a new neighbor is determined to get to the bottom of it. Gets pretty crazy and it's worth a look.
