I know most people won’t agree with this review but I don’t care this is my opinion. Let me start with saying that this has lots of very basic writing and basic characters but this film wasn’t mean to be taken seriously and to be honest If you take this film seriously then you will not like this film but once I seen the artificial heart I knew to not take this film seriously but this film does has good practical effects for the kongs and there was one scene that feels like they were making fun of Godzilla raids again and I thought that was funny. The story isn’t completely shit but I’m wondering, back in 1986 who was asking for a King Kong (1976) sequel and who said yes to make a sequel to King Kong (1976). My final thought is that this is a fun film that nothing amazing but it isn’t supposed to be.

It has some terrible composite shots and the face animatronics are a step down. But the movies only real crime is being released in 1986 a cynical time followed by an even more cynical time.

At one point, the male lead notices Lady Kong in an observation room and says, "My God, look at those tits. They're magnificent!" I really shouldn't be surprised by this dialogue because this is also the one where King Kong sheds a single tear at the birth of his son.
