When one of his patients is found murdered, psychiatrist Dr. Sam Rice is visited by the investigating officer but refuses to give up any information. He's then visited by the patient's mistress, Brooke Reynolds, whom he quickly falls for despite her being a likely murder suspect. As the police pressure on him intensifies, Rice decides to attempt solving the case on his own and soon discovers that someone is trying to kill him as well.

Not gonna lie, I thought this was a Brian de Palma film. It falls directly into his neo-noir aesthetic.
Meryl Streep is so beautiful, and she does this thing with her eyes that simply mezmerizes me.

Knocking out watchlist stuff and turns out I started watching this at some point and didn’t finish. On a fresh watch, this is a classy thriller with a pretty cool dream sequence that’s otherwise maybe a little too staid to stand out. It’s very good but not a barn burner.

Still of the Night
You know I wasn’t sure I’d really like this cause it’s not my normal style of film, but after a slightly slow intro to the movie I really started to enjoy it. And the twist at the end (that I should have seen coming) took me off guard but it really closed the film brilliantly.
