Death Bell is a pretty wild mix. You could roughly describe it as Saw, Battle Royale, and The Ring, only in a school setting.
But when you watch it, it quickly becomes clear that it would have been better to stick to one genre. It has a bit of everything, but it just doesn't work because it ends up feeling overloade.
In my opinion, they should have focused much more on the violence and the traps, partly because I don't think the paranormal elements were necessary for the existing story at all.
Ultimately, it's rather disappointing, also because the film actually had more potential.
