I didn’t much care for this film. It felt disjointed, which I understand was partly the way the film was split up between the two different perspectives - of the police and of the radical youth - but even the separate single points of view felt lacking. I couldn’t really sympathize with any of the characters, because they didn’t feel real to me - on both sides. Also, the film felt long and tiresome. By the time you get to the hostage situation, which was more surreal than anything, I was ready for the film to end. To make matters worse, the film literally just ends upon the resolution of the conflict.
Blurgh.
